Give your Christmas tree a proper send-off by recycling it. You'll be doing our local landfills a favor. Bring your tree to the SMUD Corporation Yard at 6100 Folsom Blvd. on Jan 7, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. SMUD will mulch it for free. First remove tinsel, lights, tree stands and nails. Flocked trees accepted.
